It was a fresh new day. The sun was beginning to peak over the crest of the far mountain range, littering its rays, warming the dew covered atmosphere. Small birds fluttered from tree to tree, singing their morning melody. Spring was in full here. Rabbits with their litters munched carefully on the tall green vegetation, while baby birds peeped in their nests. It was a gorgeous site but it didn’t suffice for Thanatos. He wanted more, and he knew exactly what his fix was. Ivory daggers slid out of the dark shadows of the ruins of his castle. The vibrant rays harshly blinded his cerulean orbs. Squinting for a short moment, he stood there, allowing them to adjust. Carefully he dropped his massive cranium and allowed it to roll side to side, shaking the slumber off his sore muscles—as if he had slept. After the ebony and ivory tendrils settled on the left side of his nape he glanced around. A few guards nodded at him, Thanatos nodded back. Slowly he moved to the slight incline of the hill where his castle was perched. There the hill slid into a large meadow, with trees surrounding it, making a perfect home for his herd. Standing at the edge he gazed down upon his herd, there were a good twenty members give or take, and all were happily grazing or still slumbering under the oak trees.
Carefully he made way down the hill, casting his weight on his back end to keep him from sliding across the dew soaked vegetation. Spring was very giving this year; allowing the vegetation to grow as tall as to tickle Thanatos, barrel. His cerulean orbs searched for something, something in particular but no one knew. A few knickers fell forth towards Thanatos. Soft whinnies of excitement danced from the young mares admiring their king. Nodding towards them he offered a kind smile but moved past them quickly. The vegetation slid under his barrel irritating him. His tail slapped against his barrel in attempt to remove the tickling sensation but it was no good. Just moving past the other members who went back to resting or grazing, Thanatos stopped. His cranium lifted to the heavens, as the tendrils of his forelock slid back and away from his vision. Nostrils flared, then sucked in heavily searching for that familiar aroma he so desperately was looking for. A slight hint of it came to him, causing his pricks to flicker forward with a hopefulness but something else, something stronger came to him. Without a second though his powerful daggers pushed off into an extended trot, off to the right straight into the shadow of the trees. Muscles rippled as he dashed towards the trees, his ebony and ivory painted body slipping into the cool shadows, following that strong scent. Nearing it he slowed to a walk, his cranium swinging to and fro searching. There it was. An apple tree that had just began to allow the apples to turn red.
A wide grin surfaced his features. There looking up the perfect apple stared back at him. It was enormous and the most crimson color he had ever seen. It was perfect. It was a few feet up but it was nothing he couldn’t get. With little effort he allow his front tendons to bend and allowed his front in to pop up, allowing his enamels just barely hit his target. Careful to not bruise or damage it he grabbed the branch and allowed his weight to lower back down. Successful he stood there with the apple between his ivory pearls, with a very light hold. The sweet, succulent scent filled is senses causing his mouth to water. No matter how bad he wanted it, it had a different purpose. Then he allowed his body to move impulsively back to his initial target. Ivory daggers slid forward moving into a slight job, tendrils of his thick banner and whipcord bounced with every stride. Thoughts swarmed the kings beautiful head as her scent grew stronger, over powering the ripe apple. He moved down the tree line, hiding in the shadows, distancing himself from the herd. It was evident Isiseron still wasn’t accumulated to the other members but he was glad she was alone…. Finally after ten minutes passed, a silhouette came into sight. Across the meadow, where the stream ran through there she was, her gorgeous frame lying next to it, in the vibrant sun—the rays warming her buskin pelt. Swallowing harshly, he allowed his massive body to move from the shadows into the inviting warmth of the sun. It was a rare site to see her sleeping, it made her look so invulnerable. Carefully, as silent as possible he moved towards her, his cranium dropped low enough for his banner to whisk across the vegetation. Nearing her he stopped and took in the site before him. She was so beautiful he could hardly stand it. Everything about her drew him in, wanting more. She was a harsh drug that intoxicated his every thought.
It had been about a week since she agreed coming home with him. Thanatos made sure to take things slow and not to plunge head first… He had done that once before and it seemed it didn’t work out. Thanatos was not going to allow this to slip through his fingers without a fight. Cerulean orbs watched the subtle rise and fall of her barrel, the life that energized her magnificent body. Swallowing harshly, he stepped to her as quite as possible. Stopping mere a foot away he lowered his cranium all the way to the ground and gingerly placed the apple only a few inches from her nostrils. Carefully he retreated back, and stepped away. He wanted her to sleep as much as she wished but wanted to be sure to offer this apple before she awoke. There he moved towards the stream but a good ten yards away from her so he didn’t awake her. The last week had been hard for him, he gave her space allowed the other members to make friends and get to know her. He didn’t want to be overwhelming nor overbearing. Despite the fact he wanted to spend every waking day and night with her he held his feelings in and just let her be. Casually he would go see her, ask how she was settling in but that was about it. Despite his feelings he stayed away—there was no reason to scare her off. Today was different however; he couldn’t hold it in any more. He needed to see her, be with her. It felt as if he was ignoring her, as if she was just another herd member, but isn’t that what she wanted? She didn’t want to suffocate in his affection—she didn’t seem like the lovey dovey type.
Despite his true feelings he hide them well, and acted like she was just another mare. He wasn’t rude but he wasn’t nice either. He kept his distance and he knew it was for her. He hadn’t slept once this week for it seemed his heart was heavy with regret. Carefully he dropped his cranium to the cool, slow moving water and allowed his lips to plunge into the icy depths and suck it silently, allowing the water to sooth his dry throat. His mind raced with thoughts. Was she angry with him for ignoring her this last week? Or was she pleased with the space he was allowing. He technically wasn’t ignoring her, he came to see her every day to check in but that was about it… However today was different… He figured a weeks was enough space… then maybe they could spend today together, he wanted to get her to the point where he was… he wanted her to feel the same way; like wanting to spend every minute of every day with him…. The rays bounced off his dual painted body giving him a god like glow. Carefully as he drank, his orbs closed trying to calm his jumbled thoughts but instead they only twisted and turned more and more with each passing moment…
Thanatos walks. Thanatos thinks.

~Well, go ahead and call the cops You don't meet nice girls in coffee shops~
The past week had been, interesting, to say the least. To be honest, she wasn't sure what she had been expecting when they had walked away from that quiet beach. Terra Nova was stunning, yes, this place was almost like some fantasy land, and she spent the past week expecting to wake up, back in her own little life. Instead, every morning, she woke in the lush safety of her new home. As far as other horses had went, she had expected to be politely welcomed, and then quietly ignored or gently pushed to the fringes until she had earned her place within them. Half of that had happened, she had been warmly welcomed, and honestly, she spent part of her day sseaking to these lovely new acquaintances, and she was a little surprised that they were just that willing to welcome some stranger into their mix quite that quickly. By mid-afternoon though, she found herself exploring her new home, occasionally indulging in the desire to do nothing other than run until she couldn't breathe properly for a few moments. Her evenings would find her by the stream again, grazing on the soft grass of spring, and enjoying the last few sights of the day before it faded completely into night. The stream would then babble her into sleep, where she would stay, for the most part until morning woke her. The first few nights, she had found it hard to sleep through the night, and half the time she awoke before dawn had fully peered over the world. Slowly though, she had slowly adjusted to her new life.
If she had one complaint, it was that the reason she had come to Terra Nova, seemed to be avoiding her. Well. That wasn't strictly true. She had seen him every day, and a few words passed between them. It was, polite, kind, but incredibly distant. It was almost as if life had seen into the fear of what might happen, of how she had thought that all those flashy words had been just that, was coming true. Typical male, says these things, these beautiful, soft, amazing things, and once he has you eating out of the palm of his hand, once the battle is over, once he won, it was done. You were no more special than the one before any longer, and worse yet, he expected you to stand around and watch as he moved on to his next conquest, his next challenge. To be painfully honest, she had started to make it a point to try and put off that awkward conversation for as long as she could. She would try and meander to a new place every day, putting space between them. It didn't matter. It was like a mouse trying to escape from a hawk, he always found her, and ever time something in her sighed like a little idiot.
At first, the distance had been welcome, almost soothing to someone who had spent so much time alone before. As time passed though, built up, the place that had been filled with resignment to loneliness, that had been quieted by some pretty words and a few soft touches, was slowly yawning back to life. What had she expected though? Surely she knew somewhere, deep in her bones, that this was to be the response to her acceptance of his offer. She knew she should be grateful for the consideration he gave her, but part of her wanted to demand answers from him, and part of her wanted to ask just how she'd offended him, because surely, that had something to do with it.
That particular morning, she had been content to lay next to her stream, at least, her section of it. The morning had been quiet thus far, and to be honest, she would have loved to stay asleep, enjoying her dream of her birth home, playing between the members of her birth herd, annoying her older sisters, nothing but a spindly little filly again. It was a stupid dream, yes, but it was beautiful all the same. The smell of apples, invaded her little world, and through the eyes of a much younger her, she was flying through grand old trees, apples everywhere, bright and shiny, but just out of reach. The dream faded, slowly, the babble of the stream slowly registering in her ears. Pity. Slowly, russet orbs blinked open, the fog of sleep keeping them unfocused, for just a moment. The world was largely still out of mind at the moment, but after a moment, it slowly started to become more solid. A long sigh came from her, and perhaps it was tinged with regret. Not at her current location, but something far more old. What was strange, was that smell of apples was still in her nose, making her mouth water. Then, she saw it, bright red, and sitting so innocently before her. How? Confusion stole across her features, a soft sound emitted from her throat. Lifting her head higher, rolling to a more solid pose, the mare peered around her, a certain awareness forming on her features. It wasn't until she turned her gaze on the stream, that it suddenly became obvious.
Thanatos. A slow smile curled on her lips, as she watched his patterned form standing by the stream. Something in her unclenched, and the despairing feelings she'd felt both diminished and grew, torn between the responses. Her mane and forelock, were surely a mess, tangled with a few stems of grass, and whatever was on the ground, from a night of rest. This wasn't the best she'd ever looked, but the cynical voice in her mind purred that he probably wouldn't care one way or another. She was looking far too into this, he merely had a lighter schedule today. Pushing the thoughts away, she buckskin mare pushed herself to her feet, giving herself a good shake, shaking away the night. Eying the apple, then a glance at the stallion who occupied far too much of her mind, she neatly, as she could, at half of the treat, the flavor of the apple bursting across her mouth. It was delicious, and juicy, tender, and freshly ripened. After a moment of chewing, she finally called out, voice still a little sleep thick, " You know, someone who's willing to bring a treat to a sleeping girl, deserves a reward. Want the other half?" As she waited for an answer, she took him in, drinking in the sight. The idea of waking up with him mere meters away, was rather alluring. He looked, not tense per-say, but as if something were on his shoulders, weighting him down. That didn't necessarily make her happy.
"Good morning, by the way. You're early, today, Thanatos. I'm doing well, I'm settling in fine, everyone has been absolutely lovely, no really. " She rattled off the things that were normally covered in their conversations quickly, and perhaps tinged with a little sharpness. Oh yes, she had missed him bitterly, he had taken to wandering her dreams again without her permission, but that didn't mean she was going to fawn over him today. At least, not right away. He had a way of making her do things, say things, soften up like ice in the spring warmth. " What brought you so early?" these words were softer, warmed with affection and tinged with curiosity. She wasn't going to turn him away, not after a week of little to no time spent with him. He always had a way of doing that, she noticed, making her world fill with colors, and it was addicting.

The last week had been difficult, more difficult than any other. Despite having the woman of his dreams in his home, she felt farther away then ever. It was harder than he could have ever imagined, of course he wanted to spend every minute with her and never let her out of his site but of course that would smoother her alive and she didn’t seem like the touchy feely—so if space is what she wanted he’d give it, despite what his heart was telling him. Deep down his heart told him, in fact enforced him to go to her, spend time with her, every moment he could spare, but his mind was conflicted. In the end his mind won and he gave her what he thought she wanted. Little did he knew he was only making the circumstances worse. It was quite the contrary. If he knew she felt the same way about him he would never leave her side, or if he had it would be short lived. It was hard to be man really, it was always his turn in this game. He had to make the calls and they best be the right one or it would soil any chance he had to growing old with her—and that couldn’t happen or he no longer could live this miserable life of his.
Standing there, with his cranium dipped low as he stared heavily at his reflection he found his intestines knot in a painful manner. His mind was constantly conflicted with his heart and it was hard for him to decide which one to listen to. If he was smart he would always follow his soul’s desires but being inexperienced he thought his brain knew best. His reflection stared back with a pitiful expression of regret on its face. Grimacing at it, Thanatos felt his right dagger come forward and step down in the cool liquid, dissipating his sorry reflection, casting it away—in hopes of forever. Grumbling to himself he slightly spooked when her tender words called forward. " You know, someone who's willing to bring a treat to a sleeping girl, deserves a reward. Want the other half?" He jumped just slightly causing his other front dagger to plunge into the shallow water. His heart began to race uncontrollably, that he wasn’t quite sure from being startled or hearing her gorgeous tones? With a snicker at himself, his cranium turned towards her, the tendrils of his banner sliding down his thick nape as his cranium lifted slightly. Carefully he cleared his raspy voice and responded kindly, “Oh, I hope I didn’t wake you… I tried being as quite as possible.”
|
[/b] His tones were different, not the same as the day they stood on the beach. They were still deep, charming and kind, but now they held some regal way about them, it didn’t sound like the real Thanatos, it was king Thanatos that stood before, as if he was trying to prove something. Realizing she offered the other half, he felt his haunches pivot where he faced her. The succulent scent of the fresh aroma made his mouth water but that treat was for her. Gingerly he responded, “No, thank you though, I want you to enjoy it.”[/b] If it was the real Thanatos he would have gladly walked over and taken that half and offered the half of it, so he could share the last bit in a quick moment of heated passion, their lips being that close but, King Thanatos kindly declined ruining any chance of romance. What came next surprised him. Her tones sounded frustrated, sharp, and uneasy, yes they were kind enough to not be considered hostile but Thanatos knew she was angry. "Good morning, by the way. You're early, today, Thanatos. I'm doing well, I'm settling in fine, everyone has been absolutely lovely, no really. " She seemed to enjoy the space, showed no resentment until now. Was he doing the wrong thing? Has she wanted to be with him as much as he wanted to be with her? His stomach lurched as her heart jumped into his throat. Trying to speak he found his lips parting but no audible sound came forward. " What brought you so early?" She was angry, he was certain of it. Had she not wanted space? Jesus, this was so much more difficult than he would ever imagine. Letting a deep sigh escape his rosy lips, his cranium dropped slightly. The regal, proud look dissipated and the feeble little Thanatos came poking through. Cerulean orbs gazed up at her, he felt as if he could do no right. Slowly his lips opened up once more but seemed he couldn’t find the words. The king in him wanted to protrude through and control the situation but he swallowed his pride. It was like he a personality for each color on his body. The king was his ebony part of his body, regal handsome, but somewhat reserved, emotionally shut off, and mechanical while the ivory part of him was who he was before he became a king, It hid under the black, but was soft, supple, unsure, and sweetest can be. Thanatos was just a lost soul and it seemed he was having a hard time finding out who he truly was. The king he was, was the way his people wanted him but his heart yearned for him to be so much more. He tired of holding the emotions in and it seemed with this situation King didn’t always know best. Isiseron was upset, and he knew exactly why. He knew he should have never ignore her or given her space. He treated her like she was nothing special, like she was just some other prize he brought home. Sighing heavily Thanatos felt defeat pulsate through his entire being. The king was fully gone now and the Thanatos on the beach came back. It was amazing cause he looked like an entirely different stallion. When it was just him he looked wholesome, real, and extremely handsome. When he was playing his role as king he looked regal, proud, and fake… not fake as a liar or cheat but fake as statue like as if he had no feelings or emotions—of course he was a merciful king but it was like he was incapable of showing how he felt. Here, standing in front of her, he felt his pride stripped clean. Carefully he shook his cranium. Stepping forward he felt the need to turn away so he did. He returned his features to the stream, turning away from her as he spoke, more to himself than anything, “I am such a fool. Here I thought you wanted space so I gave you space. Despite what I wanted, I decided smothering you was not the best option so I gave you space. And here we are… You’re upset with me for ignoring you…”[/b] Pausing for a moment he finished with a huff of defeat, “I can’t do a damn thing right. Despite what my entire being wants me to do, I do the opposite because it’s what I think you want.”[/b] What was he suppose to do? He wanted to do everything with her, make her apart of his life, pull her into his castle and share his lifestyle with her, but did she? Thanatos walks. ~Well, go ahead and call the cops You don't meet nice girls in coffee shops~
At his words, the first words she'd heard that day, something in her chest plummeted. So it was this again. If men wanted to think that women were frustrating and irritating, granted they had more than enough reason, but her gender were not the only ones. A polite smile crossed her features at the statement. He had done an admirable job of not waking her, and for a moment, the gesture of what he had done brought a second of warmth, something closer to how she thought of him, not saw him currently, but that warm creature she had met a week earlier. At the refusal of her offer, that warmth was gone, yet again. She was so tired of that moment, where she realized again and again, and again that this was not the Thanatos she preferred, this was The King. The special little snowflake, who dared not to get too close to the rabble. She felt her smile slowly fade again, a slight nod of her cranium, a bit sharper than what she had intended, gaze drifting away from his painted form. It was frustrating, seeing him stand there, and knowing that if she were to squint hard, she might see her Thanatos. Lately, she had found that even the effort required to remember the relaxed figure was taxing. She hadn't given up on seeing it, merely resigned herself that those moments would be rare, if at all. She had let her silly little dreams play in her reality, and look where she was. Looking down at half an apple, that was far less appealing than what it had been mere moments ago.
With a feeling of resignment, she scooped up the apple half, munching on it. She wasn't prepared for such an early visit. She felt vulnerable, a target of herself, and with half-formed emotions and thoughts running wild through her skull. She needed to lock these away, these feelings of affection, joy at the sight of him, hope, they weren't meant to be here, not right now. Those on the beach had been a breach in her common sense, and now, it had landed her here, trying to mentally outrun something that was eating her from the inside out, growing stronger with every moment her eyes rested on him. A slight movement brought her gaze back to him, as he seemed to be struggling. A worried crease appeared on her features, even as she stepped closer, just a few steps, before seeming to realize what she was doing. The deep sigh that came from him, and the dropping of something intangible made her heart stutter into a momentarily unsteady rhythm. For a moment, she thought he was to speak again, but instead, he seemed to be struggling with something internally. Then, she saw him, her Thanatos, that figure on the beach standing there in the grass beside the stream, and her gut unclenched, that nasty feeling of tightness disappearing.
When he turned away from her, a frown curled her features, and as her lips parted to call out to him, he started to speak, with the voice that haunted her dreams, thoughts, and heart. It was so, so, defeated almost. A wave of shame rolled over her at his words, and her audits flicked backwards in remorse. What garnered the response that had been lacking in her early morning visit was the defeat, the anger, the sorrow she read in his tones, and the anger of her own stupidity and arrogance curled in her chest. She was moving before she gave permission to her legs to move, this time though, she wasn't upset by the action. Her steps brought her beside him, reaching out before she even realized it, mug touching his neck, a soft brush of a touch, but anything to garner his attention, to get those baby blue's back on her. " Thanatos, no. " her words were almost choked, desperate to claim some form of control. " God, I-I.." Closing her eyes briefly, a soft sigh puffing against his neck, she stepped further, keeping her movements slow. The stream was calm, and for a moment, they were both reflected on the surface. Reaching out again, this time she came in contact with his cheek. The movement to get close enough to do so, brought her side by side to him, the space almost nothing between their sides.
" A fool, no, perhaps a little over-thinking but I see no fool. If you are a fool, then I'm no better than an arrogant, selfish child. I never thought to thank you. For giving me time to settle, for letting me find my stride here. " She had never said those words, never thought to tell him that she was grateful for even assuming and chancing what she might want. Sure, he wasn't absolved of all blame or regretful thoughts, but he wasn't alone in this fine mess. She let the statement sink in, before continuing, words soft, gentle, as if not sure how it would be taken. " Oh, Hon. Doing what is right, is very different from doing what you want. It's not your fault that you did what you thought I wanted. It's not your fault that I stood back and said nothing. We both let it get to this point, honestly. ", a touch of amusement colored her voice as she continued, a huff of hesitant amusement puffing out, "Actually, it's a little selfish of you to try and steal all the blame. " Slowly, she turned her gaze and dial towards the stream, lowering her features until she was almost nose to surface with the liquid. She was letting her words sink in, and perhaps also to gather something in her, courage maybe, to say more. A look of mild annoyance flashed in her eyes as her forelock slipped and disturbed the water. A soft thoughtful humm came from her, and she cast her gaze sideways at him, thinking.
" I do have on critique, though, and a question. If you want to know what I'd prefer, you should ask. I'd tell you, you know, it's not as if I'd take it as a great invasion of privacy and go on a homicidal rampage, followed by tears. You have this way that makes lying unpleasant. " A soft smile curled her features, which was quickly followed by a sly look, curiosity pooling in her words and eyes. " Now, about what you're entire being wants. What would that be, exactly?" Raising her dial, she let her gaze wander about, before it landed on him again. A slight tilt of her head sent the black threads of her forelock falling slightly, sticking wetly against her cheek. If her lighter tones seemed a bit forced, well , it wasn't that large of an issue. Was it?

Thanatos was so worried about the mess he made he hadn’t even noticed how she looked, this early morning. The way her mane lazily flopped on each side of her thin nape, how a few tendrils of her forelock stood on end, or how her eyes were still attempting to adjust to the bright life around her. If he had taken the time to really notice her, he would have fallen in love all over again. Isiseron was absolutely gorgeous and everything about her, even early mornings like this made him love her all the more. She was just so wholesome and real, it drove him nuts. He wanted her so badly it was hard to hold back, it actually took every ounce of his dignity to not pronounce his undying love to her. Standing, away from her, his orbs yearned to gaze upon her gorgeous sun kissed pelt but his pride held him back, keeping his pitiful gaze off her. He couldn’t help but feel like a fool pronouncing such feelings that he couldn’t be man enough to look her in the eyes. Thanatos had a real hard time being honest about his emotions but it was near impossible to say it to someone’s face. Despite what his heart wanted, his foolish pride always got in the way. He wanted to turn to her, melt into her embrace and profess all that he felt, but…. The regality of his title had a tight leash on him.
Orbs shut tightly as her footsteps echoed in his mind. In his mind he prayed she would touch him, allow their electrifying spark to energize his soul once more. As if God himself listened to Thanatos, her tender lips just barely brushed upon his thick nape. This time it didn’t hold a glisten of sweat; it was dry but still glistened with an unknown sleekness. His orbs were still shut as his large cranium hung low, towards the creek in a shameful way. Just barely he felt his weight shift towards her touch, but as quick as it started it ended. His orbs opened in objection. " Thanatos,no. God, I-I.." Gingerly his cranium arched so he faced her. Pricks flickered outward in a remorseful manner, her tones seemed so uneasy and regretful, it pained him. God, why were they always doing this? They both were so similar. Holding in how they truly felt when they both felt so strongly. Next came the gentle brush against his cheek, sending a series of chills rattling down his spinal column. It was just like before…. On the beach when she consoled him. Once again his orbs closed, softly accepting her touch, wanting her touch, needing her touch.
" A fool, no, perhaps a little over-thinking but I see no fool. If youarea fool, then I'm no better than an arrogant, selfish child. I never thought to thank you. For giving me time to settle, for letting me find my stride here. " Despite the situation she always so level-headed, always gave him the benefit of the doubt. His heart began to beat once more, pulsating life back into him—the light in his cerulean orbs came glistening back. His cranium turned back to her with hopefulness. He wanted to speak but her words kept him quite for the time being, “ Oh, Hon. Doing what is right, is very different from doing what you want. It's not your fault that you did what you thought I wanted. It's not your fault that I stood back and said nothing. We both let it get to this point, honestly. " Gingerly he asked, as if her were a guilty child asking his mother, “So, you aren’t mad at me?”
|
[/b] It was quite adorable really. Baby blues stared up at her, with his cranium low in a submissive manner. If someone where to walk upon this scene it would be quite amazing. Thanatos, this massive king a few hands taller, being submissive and speaking like a guilty child to some petite beautifully built mare. Honestly if he was lucky enough to get together, she would most likely be the one wearing the pants in the relationship. He would go to her for all the hard decisions, about anything and everything because deep down she was the most insightful and selfless person he had ever met, let alone love…. Lost in the beauty that is her, her soft tones made him snicker softly, "Actually, it's a little selfish of you to try and steal all the blame. " Her wit was uncanny. Softly his deep chuckle rolled from his lips as he allowed his own lips to move towards her petite jowls where he tenderly nudged her, with affection, “Well pardon me, Madam. I guess the blame can be ours.”[/b] God, the word ours, just rolled off his tongue… It made him want to talk about, our home, our castle, our kingdom, our life, and so much more. Realizing how foolish he was being he just stared intently into her deep hazel orbs. She turned away from him, causing his brows to furrow forward for a short moment. He watched silently as her petite cranium dipped towards the water. He slowly allowed his gaze to slide off her and drop to the moving water, casting his glance on the reflection that stared back. It was the only time he ever got to see what he looked like but for some reason his gaze was stuck on her. A placid smile danced across his features as he admired the picture. Him and her, standing together side by side—together. Her tender tones brought his attention back to her, his cranium slightly arching so he could look upon her gorgeous features, " I do have on critique, though, and a question. If you want to know what I'd prefer, you shouldask. I'd tell you, you know, it's not as if I'd take it as a great invasion of privacy and go on a homicidal rampage, followed by tears. You have this way that makes lying unpleasant. " Gingerly he nodded as he smiled softly. “From now on, I will never assume and always ask you, my Dear. However for making lying unpleasant for you, I have to say that’s a trait I will try to keep.”[/b] Her next question made his heart skip. ." Now, about what you're entire being wants. What would that be, exactly?" Oh no… This question required an honest answer. He smiled, sheepishly as he stepped away from her slightly, then slowly stepped into the creek. Gingerly he looked over his shoulder back at her and thought maybe being coy would be more fun then honesty, “Oh I see, letting curiosity get the best of you?”[/b] Carefully he nodded forward urging for her to walk with him, he wanted to show her something. Crossing the creek, he turned towards upstream. Looking at her he replied softly, “Maybe some things are best unsaid…”[/b] Pausing for a moment he smiled a devilish grin and finished before he continued upstream quietly, His pace slow so she could walk next to him. He followed the well traveled game trail on the left side of the stream, leading towards a place only he knew about. “Plus I like seeing you interested in me, it’s a cute look on you.”[/b] Oh this was the fun Thanatos he had been keeping hidden away, the Thanatos that would only make not loving him harder… Thanatos walks. ~Well, go ahead and call the cops You don't meet nice girls in coffee shops~
Mad at him? No. She had been annoyed and letting her own mind go all washy for no reason other than she couldn't see what was right in front of her. However, the question, so small, tentative, and ready to cringe at what she might answer, was almost addictive. She might have felt a rather sharp answer on the tip of her tongue, but instead she merely shook her head in a slight negative, not trusting her tongue which had already betrayed her truer thoughts in conversations before. The day she had met him, she had let her mouth ruin a good start, and their second meeting, went quite a bit better with a little moderation. It was little wonder why she held her tongue now. She banished these thoughts, she was on the bank of a stream, having woken to a lovely sight, and with their usual moments of 'oh shit what have I done now?' over and done with, she could now feel a little freer to enjoy their day. Maybe. Perhaps it would end up just being hers, once again, but her mind scoffed, surely he would have left after apologizing, instead of speaking back to her. It was the small things, like that, you had to be grateful for.
There were moments, supposedly, in the lives of a living creature, that that they stopped and simply forgot to start again, because to leave the place they had found, would simply be shattering. Her mother told her, that for most, it was falling in love with the one that you were simply meant to be with. Her dam had always tried to explain that falling in love was different for everyone, and half of the time it was opposite of what you've imagined it will be like. Which was why most claimed that they never saw it coming up to nip them on the nose. So far, anything that she had been told about the emotion, was more or less null. Sure, there was that swooning sensation, the light-headed floating sensation, the urge to giggle like a foolish girl, but all of these could be seen in a simple crush. How was she to know just when that simple crush pushed over the line, into something far more deadly. It wasn't until the soft touch that he returned, that she thought that there was a difference. It wasn't any of the above sensations, it was, well, hard to explain. It was as if time merely had stopped, and stayed that way as long as they were close enough, or as long as they were next to one another, talking, or just being. That moment, she would have done anything he'd asked of her, a trait she found to be most endearing and frustrating in the long run. The way her heart jumped at the word 'ours', prompted a smile to curl on her features. God, the sound of it was stunning. It was just a pity it wasn't used in another situation, one much closer to heart.
As he spoke again, her mind snapped back to the present world, the sound of birds chirping, the stream gurgling, and his tones in her ears. My Dear. God, she would never tire of endearments, especially from him. Surely, it was a trait that he had, giving them out like candy, but she couldn't bring herself to tell him that an endearment was something that was precious to her, something to be savored. No, she wouldn't tell him that, for she would then have to own up to some thoughts that were far too soft and loving to be said out loud. Least of all to the one who inspired such thoughts. A soft huff puffed from her as he claimed to keep the lying unpleasant. " Cheeky ass, that's what you are. " the words were amused, a laugh underneath the words themselves was almost audible. She was almost startled into questioning him when he stepped away, part of her wanting to deny him that right, because then how would she be able to enjoy the warmth he put off, of the sense of aloneness that their moments inspired? Her head raised, curious as to just what he thought he was doing, but then, as he splashed across the water, he looked back at her, and that smirking smile was what pushed her into the water after him. She liked that look on his face, devilish, charming, suave, it suited him. Not to mention that it made her own features quirk in an expression that screamed 'oh?', just on the basis of seeing it. His words, coy and smooth, made her maw part, jaw dropping as if she couldn't quite believe he'd dared to say such a thing. A delighted laugh came from her, as if this exposure to this side of him made her impossibly amused and happy. Snapping her mouth closed, she paced after him, a look of curiosity and embarrassed pleasure crossing her face.
Falling into step with him, she let her mind calm. Play it cool and collected, she was probably over thinking the statement. Surely it was just something that sounded nice, played with the coyness his features. She shouldn't be feeling a sense of giddiness, of peace, and for the love of God, she shouldn't be opening her mouth to speak. " Do you now? Well, I'll have to endeavor to keep such a good look, " she peered up at him, " With you, it shouldn't be too hard. You're handsome, mysterious, and so suave it hurts. Well, most of the time you're suave. " The memory of him stuttering on the beach flashed before her eyes, and she couldn't help the soft chuckle that emitted from her at the memory. Thanatos stuttering, was one of the sweetest things she'd ever seen, and she had to admit she'd endeavor to try and encourage that trait. " There has been a time or two you've stuttered and gaped. It was cute as hell, just so you know." If she had been capable her features would have been pinked at that admition. For all his 'tall, dark, and handsome' moments, the moments where he was lost for words were by far her favorites, and not entirely for innocent reasons. She quite liked the idea of being one of a few to see that side of him. Admittedly, she'd like it better if she were the only.
Traveling in silence for a moment, she let the peace of the moment soak in, the sound of their muffled steps be lost to the babble of the stream. To be honest, it was nice and soothing. However, she had never been overly capable of remaining silent for two long. Silence to her, was almost a blow, vicious and underhanded, and most of the time, completely accidental. " So, where are you taking me on our little date?" she paused in her words, embarrassment flashing through her, hide warming. She had not just said that! Part of her purred though, at the thought. She quickly mentally snarled at it to shove it, before quickly breaking the awkward silence yet again, perhaps a little loudly. " Not that it is a date! Not that I think it is, I meant date as in merely a meeting of two persons who are sharing a location and company, no romance necessary-!" the babbling cut off, into mortified silence. As they walked along, all she could hear now was the sound of her heart pounding in her ears, and the dull roar of her blood trying to figure out it wanted to boil or freeze.
~Everyone is looking for someone to blame But you share my bed, you share my name~

It was only ever her…. She was the first really. Maybe he used it a few times before, maybe a dear here and there but he never meant it, but for Isiseron it was the first time he truly meant it. Of course he wanted to end every sentence with My Darling, because that was what she was. His darling, his dear, his perfection, his saving grace—but he knew it would be slightly off putting if he always used them. Sometimes it seemed thing special like that needed to be used only in the perfect moments, no reason to overuse them, make them loose their meaning. Thanatos, allowed his cerulean orbs just barely look at her in the corner of his eye to see her expression. He had to admit, it was adorable and it seemed to spark something in her. Inhaling carefully he nodded in approval, glad he said it. While he removed himself from reality he allowed his mind to play tricks on him. Showing the future of them together, in love, living in their castle just happy. His heart fluttered, just barely catching her teasing statement, " Cheeky ass, that's what you are. " He allowed a deep chuckle roll from deep within his chest as he carefully looked over her. Nodding in agreement he spoke in an amused manner, “Why thank you! I try my hardest.”
|
[/b] God today was turning out better than he could have ever imagined. Their conversation shifted from regret to joy and teasing in such a quick amount of time, he could hardly remember the regret he felt early this morning. Just as the sun began to poke promptly over them, he welcomed the warm rays that settled upon their backs. He closed his orbs for a short moment, just soaking in the moment. This is what he wanted, for the rest of his life. Spending it with Isiseron, just enjoying life—nothing on their agenda but loving each other. Deep down he knew the protruding feeling swarming in his heart, but he couldn’t admit it, no, not yet. Ever since he met her he felt alive again. He felt a reason to breath again, a reason to be himself, a reason to be king. Deciding to allow the conversation to move to a more flirtatious manner, he felt the excitement rush through his veins. Never before did he allow himself to interact in such a risqué manner, even though it wasn’t quite ‘risqué’, but fore the little virgin king it was, well that’s not counting Uriel.... He had never flirted with anyone before, but yet it seemed he had the natural ability. By the look upon her face, it seemed it intrigued her… His devilish smile grew, as his brows furrowed forward. Maybe he should do it more often, only with her of course. Watching as she crossed the river to his side, he felt something foreign grow deep inside him. A hot searing sensation, all through his entire frame. It was intense and he wasn’t sure how to deal with it. Instead, he didn’t. He swallowed harshly and allowed his coy, bad boy look cover the uncertainty. Moving up the stream, he just looked forward, not ignoring her, but trying to keep her guessing. The coy look was still there, as his powerful daggers stepped with confidence, but not the regal king way—but a sexy Thanatos kind of way. His muscles rippled beneath his sleek two toned pelt with a god-like manner. ." Do you now? Well, I'll have to endeavor to keep such a good look. With you, it shouldn't be too hard. You're handsome, mysterious, and so suave it hurts. Well, most of the time you're suave. " What a way to boost his ego. Instead of letting it get to his head, he felt his cheek flash hot with embarrassment. Did she really feel this way? There was no way in hell? The coy grin fell and a nervous one took its place. Unable to control it he meekly replied, his tones almost cracking like a young yearling going through puberty, “Well you know how to stroke a males ego, don’t you?”[/b] He teased tenderly, allowing his confidence slide back. But just in time she knocked it back down. " There has been a time or two you've stuttered and gaped. It was cute as hell, just so you know." Shaking his cranium, the memories came sliding back. He huffed with defeat, but all in good fun, “And you know just how to crush one… A deadly skill to have Darling.”[/b] God she was amazing. His entire body swooned as he allowed his mind back to that day on the beach… That day she came home with him. Isiseron is the only one who really saw the real side of him. He allowed himself to fall apart in front of Uriel but he was angry and allowed his emotions to grab a hold of him. He had fallen into the grasp of lust and allowed himself to follow the sinful act, which he regretted strongly. Why had he allowed himself to fall into her temptations? Would he ever be able to tell Isiseron she is going to be his second. The thought seared a dark hole in his heart. Feeling his mind fall to a solemn thought he pushed the thoughts away, into a deep dark place in his mind where those memories were meant to stay, never to resurface. Trying to change his train of thoughts, playfully his cranium turned and his enamels nipped at the end of a few strands of her mane, pulling only just enough to catch her attention before he let go. They bounced up from the tension and then laid back perfectly, dangling from her sun kissed pelt. He smiled devilishly once more and moved into a slow jog, out in front of her, flicking his long tail in her face in a rather teasing manner. Out in front he heard her question and that devilish smile grew, " So, where are you taking me on our little date?" Ready to answer he heard her quickly correct herself. " Not that it is a date! Not that I think it is, I meant date as in merely a meeting of two persons who are sharing a location and company, no romance necessary-!" Instantly he stopped. Carefully he turned towards her, his features no longer coy or devilish, but sincere and caring. If this morning never came he wouldn’t be able to say how he felt, but he was done hiding his feelings and it seemed the space he gave her only hurt them. Carefully, in a very gentle manner he stepped forward her, his nape arching so his body moved closer, his face so close hers. Softly he spoke, with a hot breathless type of tones, they were soothing, and stable as if giving her support, “Darling, of course this is a date.”[/b] Gingerly his nape stretched forward just slightly as his lips moved to the tendrils to her thick forelock, where he softly slid them to the right side of her face so he could see both her russet painted orbs. “I’m tired of hiding the way I feel about you…”[/b] There he allowed his lips to slide down the bridge of her nose, almost allowing their lips to touch but reluctantly pulled away. No their first kiss couldn’t be here… Thanatos demeanor altered completely. Before it was all teasing fun and games but now it was sincere, loving, and kind… Carefully he navigated himself where he slide next to her and gently allowed his cranium to nestle into her mane but only for a short moment. Carefully he spoke with the most alluring vocals, Come, I want to show you something… Something no one else knows about…”[/b] Carefully he stepped forward, making sure to shorten his stride so he could walk next to her. He kept himself glued to her side so with each stride their barrels brushed tenderly. “I come here when I need to escape from the reality of the world… I’ve never even told anyone about it—but I want to share it with you.”[/b] His tones were so soft, and fragile, as if if he spoke to harsh or loud she would shatter before his eyes. The two moved up the stream for a few several hundred yards, his orbs heavy on their destinations. Nearing a huge thicket that seemed to make a wall, it turned to be in fact was a wall… From when the humans roamed the world, there was a stonewall before them, covered in ivy. The wall was light in color and weathering from the hundreds of years but it still stood strong, keeping any danger out of it—seeming there was no way in. Carefully he nodded in the direction as he stepped off the path. He followed the wall about sixty feet off the trail, stepping over fallen trees, twigs, and large vegetation. He moved straight for the wall, where a huge clump of ivy covered it entirely. Carefully he stepped close to it, his nape reaching forward. His enamels clamped upon a sturdy branch and he backed up, revealing a hole in the wall, just big enough for an equine sized as Thanatos. He held it open for her and nodded tenderly, urging her in. After she slipped in he maneuvered around the door and backed in carefully, still holding it with his enamels, and slipped in as it closed behind him. Carefully he turned on his haunches, allowing the wonderful sight before him unfold. Daggers clipped and echoed across the rubble of the wall and the site before them was revealed. It was like paradise! A water fall slid into a medium sized pool of the clearest water possible. The entire wall enclosed this perfect little place. There were exotic flowers Thanatos had never seen before, creating a magical jungle. The place was magnificent. Strange exotic birds perched in the trees, along with vibrant butterflies and amazing coy fish danced in the crystalline waters. Thanatos looked at Isiseron and smiled heavily. There he spoke softly, “Welcome to Paradise…”[/b] He paused for a moment then finished as he looked out across the surreal scene before them, “Our Paradise.”[/b] Thanatos walks. ~Well, go ahead and call the cops You don't meet nice girls in coffee shops~
There was probably something immoral about the way she spoke or thought about him. Surely. There had to be something wrong, something that would inevitably end this delicious game of cat and mouse. It couldn't last forever, life just wouldn't allow it. Perhaps he's see her, just really look, and see nothing more than a short smart ass, who had little to almost no respect for anyone she met. He'd realize, 'well, that's not worth the effort', and walk away. If he walked away now, she wouldn't give him her heart, her soul, and he wouldn't give her his. They'd be free as birds, happily able to walk away and try and pretend that they didn't want anything more than to wake up to the sight of each other every morning. She had a feeling though, one of those gut deep feelings that made your emotions pitch and yaw, twist into a tiny ball, then explode into a thousand shards. A feeling that clearly said, 'never', whenever the though of leaving in the middle of the night rolled through her thoughts. He had done damage, sunk the idea of him into her core, and she loathed to send it away, or to give it to another. She always had been a possessive little bitch. It was something she might live with though, the feeling of just being close, of walking with him, flirting, or trying to outmaneuver each other on the proverbial battle field.
To think, that she out of everyone, would be here, happily snarking and flirting with a King, well, that was a charming little dream, wasn't it? She never wanted to wake, because then reality would maul her to the point of death. He was a sight, the expression on his features, twisting her own gut in reaction. The way he smiled, God, that wasn't fair, not at all. Either way, it didn't stop him from pulling out all his little tricks and making her heart flutter like a little bird. For all his charm, and the suave bad-boy tricks he could pull, it was the stutter or shocked expressions that made her soul lighten. Perhaps it was because it was she who caused it. Perhaps it was merely because it made him seem more touchable. Who knew, maybe she was secretly a little sadist, and enjoyed the discomfort she put him through. Either way, she could help the softer, more genuine smile at the change in tone. Stroking a male's ego, was easy if you knew enough about them. Just a few words here or there, and bam, half of them would would be more puffed up than a turkey. At his laugh, she let a small laugh leave, amused at the defeat that could be read there. "Well, we all can't sweep others off their feet with charming words and a great body. Some skills are meant for one." Her heart fluttered at the word Darling, just as it always did, but this time, she savored it, letting the feeling last. Might as well enjoy it while it lasts, hm?
The light tug on the threads of her mane, brought a challenging look of amusement, even as he moved into a light jog, her own gait extending, letting him lead, even for just a moment. She wasn't quite ready when he slid to a halt at her words, the coy look he'd been wearing sliding off into a concerned on. Confusion twisted her own features, surely, surely her own words hadn't been cause to this. This could be a date, but there was this, this emotion behind it that startled her. Perhaps it was just her taking her sweet time getting settled to the idea that yes, someone might just care for her in that way, and she was just making things difficult. Typical. He moved slowly, as if trying to give her a moment of peace, soothing, easy, and then he was there, in reach, his voice nothing more than a soothing murmur. The words, oh it was always the damn words, made her heart stop and gallop away at the same time, a thundering crescendo. A date. This was a date, and oh God he was still talking, a dazed blink accompanying her slightly gaping maw, as if she were blown away. Which, in a way, she was. As he gently moved her forelock, she could only blink at him like a befuddled fawn, as brown met blue. God his eyes. She had always been dawn to eyes, ever since she was a youngling, and his, were perfection. As he spoke again, she swore she could all but feel the rumble of his voice, and she let her eyes close, savoring the feel and sound of him. Just in case she needed it later. " How you feel..?" the words was puffed against the almost touch of his, and she almost lunged forward, wanting that connection, that kiss, a solid affirmation that they were thinking the same thing. Then, he moved, and she silently prayed he ignored the question. Some things were worth waiting for.
When he moved away, her eyes opened again, fearing the moment was gone. Much to her delight though, he settled next to her, and their walking continued, sides brushing and she never wanted to leave this place, this mental happy place. Her ears swiveled, listening to his words, and curiosity biting intensely at her mind and expression, a sort of mixture between excitement and curiosity. The longer they walked though, the more she wondered just where they were going. Sure, Thanatos wasn't a serial killer, she was fairly sure, but that didn't mean that his idea of a secret world, and hers, were the same thing. As they stepped off the path though, she felt her eyes widen in shock as she stared at the wall, gaze wide and stunned. She had never seen anything like it, nothing in nature at least. " I've..never seen anything like this." she was a few seconds away from exploring the wall itself, when he pulled the brush aside, to reveal the hole. Warily stepping through, she winced as the sunlight hit her eyes again, reflected off the water sharply. Blinking rapidly, she let the sight unfold before her.
Then, her jaw dropped in shock. It-it was beautiful! "Oh, Thanatos! It's- this is- this is amazing. How did you ever find it? " She craned her head over her shoulder to look at him, a smile curling her features, a touch of raw delight clear as day on her features. Turning back to take in the paradise she let herself stumble forward almost a few steps, not sure if she was allowed to explore. No The green lushness, the exotic birds, the scene in itself, this was not hers to explore, not when Thanatos had brought her here, to his private escape. Besides, she would rather be by his side to do so, to be able to ask him questions, and hear his response. " Our paradise? " the words had her peering back at him, her voice cracking in the middle, as the meaning, or what she thought might be the meaning. A sense of dreadful excitement made her chest clench, and her throat constrict, even as she made her way back towards him, stopping before him, eyes searching his expression. She almost asked him what he meant , almost demanded an answer right there, almost begged for one. Anything to end this exciting, terribly beautiful game. Finally, she spoke, words slow and quiet, a muted sort of joy underlying them, "It has a nice ring to it. Ours, I mean." she let her gaze lock with his, before she glanced back towards the brilliant paradise. Her words remained soft, quiet for her " Show me around, then? We can discuss this, while we walk can't we?" not that it was necessary, but the movement would help calm her mind, which was busily over analyzing anything ever said between them.

It was a deadly scenario. Thanatos was falling, fast. There was no time to pick himself up when he feel face first into the ground. Sure Thanatos had crushes in the past, and one fling but other than that it was just experience. This, here with Isiseron was so much more. As they walked side by side, his entire being yearned to hold her close to him, never to let her go. With Brisa, Thanatos used the excuse of not allowing her to be caught in the middle of the war, and how it placed her and her son in grave danger. Unfortunately Thanatos was being greedy with Isiseron. She was too good to pass up and he wasn’t going to let the demons control his life. His mind was dead set her becoming his queen and despite the pain it maybe put them through he was willing to take a risk. The dangers were there he knew it. She was going to become a target but he was going to do absolutely everything to protect her, or he would die trying. Thanatos was never the possessive or jealous type but standing there next to her he had a feeling that might change. He couldn’t imagine her anywhere else but next to his side….
Cerulean orbs dropped down towards her. Carefully he studied the teasing smile that tugged at the edge of her lips. With the stream behind her, and the few random rays of sun dancing off her pelt made his heart beat wildly against his chest… Jesus it was hard to control himself. "Well, we all can't sweep others off their feet with charming words and a great body. Some skills are meant for one." Was she talking about him? No need to over flatter oneself…. A soft smile faded from his lips and he returned his gaze out in front where it belonged. God what was this she was doing to him? Thanatos allowed his mind to wander dangerously. What if she had no intensions of staying? What if this was all an act? Fear shot through his veins making his brows furrow forward. What if she was using him? There was no way in hell someone was this good of an actress. Carefully he looked to her in the corner of his eye trying to not let her notice he was looking at her… There he watched her orbs move about slightly, seeming to mull over her own thoughts. She looked excited, interested, and a hint of fear…. The exact same way Thanatos looked. There was no way in hell this girl was here to play a trick. This had to be the real deal.
Things certainly took a turn. Thanatos hadn’t meant to make things seem so serious but the topic was serious. He was tired of dancing around their feelings, ignoring them. It was time they were laid out in the open for them to digest. Moving closer, he watched her very carefully, sure not to invade her personal space. Her mouth slightly a gape made it evident she was shocked. Instead of being shy and casual, Thanatos decided to make the evident clear. " How you feel..?" The hunger in her orbs drew him. He felt his entire body shift forward, hungry for her touch but something held him back. No, he knew this wasn’t the place. Instead of answering her, he allowed an alluring look to dance across his chiseled features. There was no need for words… that answer was best said with actions.
As their bodies swayed side by side like a young couple slow dancing to their favorite song, Thanatos couldn’t help but imagine the future, and what it had in store for them. Of course it was nothing but rainbows and butterflies, but of course it was far from the truth. What destiny had in store for them was pain, sorrow, and anger… but for the time being they were here, together, happier then ever before. Moving closer to the destination, Thanatos felt the overwhelming excite boil deep within. His orbs carefully watched as she stared upon the massive wall. Carefully he moved to her side, and look down to see her expression. The shock was evident and it seemed it was just the response he had been hoping for. " I've..never seen anything like this." Holding open the door he watched as her slender bodice slipped inside. Moving behind her he stepped next to her. At first he gazed around them, taking in the familiar scene, then returning it back to her staring at her perfection. !"Oh,Thanatos!It's- this is- this is amazing. How did you ever find it? " The excitement in her face made his heart beat even more wild. A deep chuckle escaped his lips. Carefully he spoke, “Things like this have a way of finding you.”

[/b] God, he was such a poet. Thanatos felt his heart beat wildly against his chest, as if it was going to explode right there. The look upon her features were something he had never witnessed before. Pure excitement. It was like a child witnessing the guilty pleasures of candy for the first time. Watching her stumble forward Thanatos stepped with her, ready to catch her but it seemed she was holding up fine. She looked eager to explore. “You’re more than welcomed to take a look around and explore. I know I did the first couple times I came here.”[/b] Pausing for a moment he finished, “This place has a lot of unexplainable things here. Its magnificent.”[/b] Carefully Thanatos stepped away from her and moved to the edge of the water. It was as vibrant as his eyes and clearer than any water he had ever witnessed. Carefully he looked to her as she spoke softly. " Our paradise? " The way she looked made him take a mental step back. She almost looked desperate for an answer, as if her entire being depended on it. "It has a nice ring to it. Ours, I mean." She always had this adorable way about her trying to cover up. “Yes, ours.”[/b] pausing for a moment he turned and faced her. Stepping closer, he closed the distance between them. “Just ours. No one else’s.”[/b] It was the truth. Thanatos never wanted to share this place with anyone but her…. " Show me around, then? We can discuss this, while we walk can't we?" A tender smile slid across his features. He thought he was ready to tell her but maybe not yet. “Yes of course.”[/b] There he stepped around the waters edge, making sure she walked close to him. There were so many things he wanted to know about her, and this seemed like the perfect time. As they walked on the edge of the water on the stone, they neared the entrance of what appeared to be a rain forest. A small well beaten path lead the way. Carefully he stepped in. S toucan fluttered quickly across the canopy of trees, its rainbow painted beak making itself evident. Sounds of exotic birds, monkeys, and frogs rang like a jungle song. It was amazing how a tropical rainforest was smack dap in the middle of a redwood forest…. Of course they didn’t know what this place truly was. As the two equine walked through, passing enorous flowers and exotic plants, Thanatos looked down tenderly. Softly he questioned, “So Isiseron, I feel like I know you so well but in reality I don’t know much about you at all..”[/b] Pausing for a moment he smiled tenderly, “I’d love to know everything about you…”[/b] It was true. Thanatos wanted to know her inside and out—her quirks, what made her tick, and why she was as flawless as she was. Gingerly he allowed his cranium to nudge her nape affectionately. “So my Darling, tell me about yourself…. Tell me everything.”[/b] His tones turned deep and alluring, as if tempting her into something sinful…. Thanatos walks. Thanatos thinks.[/i] "Thanatos talks."[/b] T A G » isiseron ! M U S E » 10/10 ! ~Well, go ahead and call the cops You don't meet nice girls in coffee shops~
Just theirs, just theirs, just theirs. The phrase kept twirling about in her skulls, banging on the sides, demanding to be thought, and all but sending her mind into a frenzy of motion. It was as if everything she had cursed, hated, and dreamed of was soaking into her her mind, thanks to the magnificent creature standing to her side. God, she was starting to sound like an air-headed fool even to her own ears. As they walked, because he had given into her, he had agreed to her questions, answered her thoughts, and spoke her feelings, wait, no that was wrong. Either way, he had agreed to show her what was to be seen. Her dial was swiveling this way, then that, then this way again, trying to take in everything, every tiny little thing, because if she missed it, it would just disappear again, and you can't see something for the first time again. The first was always important. At his question, her features transformed into something more akin to pleasant surprise, a smile crossing her features, but no reply was truly forthcoming. What did she tell him? That she was girl from the coast line, who had no idea what she was doing, stumbling around in her darkening little world? Did she tell him about her sisters, and her mother? How about all those times she had dreamed of seeing the world and meeting grand people, and had awoken to merely laugh it off. What did she tell him? More importantly, how did she tell him? a nervous sound came from her, and she warily thought of her home. " You sure? Turnabout is fair play."
Soft lips parted for a moment, and her gaze fell back to the path before them, the silence not cold, but more thoughtful. " Hm. Where to start." She felt a bubble of warmth in her chest, something she was starting to notice usually made it's way known when she spoke to her King, her darling heart. " Well, I was born on the coast. My father had staked out a little home for my mother, and less than six months later, my oldest sister was born. " She felt her lips twitch. Her parents had run away together to escape her grandmother, who, upon finding out her youngest daughter was pregnant without the consent of her family, had flown into a blown-out rage. It was all very sickeningly romantic. " I have three older sisters, and I'm the baby of them. My family consisted of my parents, siblings, grandmother, and any boy stupid enough to try and court my sisters or I." a soft laugh fell from her lips as memories washed over her. She missed her family, yes, she wished that she could visit them, well yes, but would she trade this paradise for them? Not even close. A soft sigh came from delicate nares, and the heavy air was almost choking. " The beach was, is, my favorite thing. I love water, the sound of it, the smell of it. Our stretch of beach was snow white. I miss it, sometimes. Like an ache." Which, when she had left her birth home, she hadn't expected it quite so strongly. The wild call of a bird, caught her attention for a moment, and she could only wonder how she'd ended up so lucky, so here. A snort passed from her, and she tossed her head, black tresses flying in annoyance, and perhaps embarrassment. "Maybe you should ask something specific, hon, otherwise, I'll be talking all day." she nudged him slightly with her shoulder. "And not even you could handle that."
As their leisurely walk continued on, she thought of things, or tried to think of relevant things to speak to Thanatos of, and desperately failed. Finally, with a touch of embarrassment or regret, she spoke "I'll make you a deal. I answer three questions of your choosing about myself, in return, I get the same privilege. That way, I'm not just talking about me. " that, and her curiosity was burning her from the inside out, hungry, cloying, and desperate to be filled as soon as it could. She waited for her thought to be answered, because surely, he wouldn't mind? THe thought that the great king, her dearest treasure, would have something to hide or regret never passed her mind. After all, why would a creature born in luxury and power have regrets. Logic would tell her that it was only common sense. Her heart would roar like a lion in defense of the idea, in disgust, in hate, because those that harmed what was hers, deserved to be burned to the ground, smoking cinders and nothing more.
Her excitement, her joy, seemed to radiate from her very bones, and the feeling, as always, translated from a mere feeling, to her running her mouth as if it were a motor. " So, where would you like to start? Anything, on my part, is on the table. There isn't much that comes to mind that I'd like to keep secret. Not as if I'm a spy or anything-" an annoyed huff came from her nares, as she bit her tongue, mentally berating her weakness of talking. " And I'm rambling. Sorry, darling." the word tumbled off her tongue, and it was alien, with emotion behind it. Perhaps that was what had her nerves in such a snarl. It was her first, true, honest, endearment to him, and she was nervous. Why else would her heart be pounding like she was running a thousand miles?
